Commentary for Psalms 106:9
וַיִּגְעַ֣ר בְּיַם־ס֭וּף וַֽיֶּחֱרָ֑ב וַיּוֹלִיכֵ֥ם בַּ֝תְּהֹמ֗וֹת כַּמִּדְבָּֽר׃
And He rebuked the Red Sea, and it was dried up; and He led them through the depths, as through a wilderness.

and He led them in the depths in the desert The Sea of Reeds was in the desert, for it is written (Exod. 14:13): “the desert has closed upon them, etc.”; (Exod. 3:18): “three days’ journey in the desert.”
