Commentary for Psalms 79:4

הָיִ֣ינוּ חֶ֭רְפָּה לִשְׁכֵנֵ֑ינוּ לַ֥עַג וָ֝קֶ֗לֶס לִסְבִיבוֹתֵֽינוּ׃

We are become a taunt to our neighbours, A scorn and derision to them that are round about us.

and derision Heb. וקלס, an expression of speech, to speak of them as for a byword.
