Commentary for Zechariah 4:4

וָאַ֙עַן֙ וָֽאֹמַ֔ר אֶל־הַמַּלְאָ֛ךְ הַדֹּבֵ֥ר בִּ֖י לֵאמֹ֑ר מָה־אֵ֖לֶּה אֲדֹנִֽי׃

And I answered and spoke to the angel that spoke with me, saying: ‘What are these, my lord?’

“What are these, my Lord?” What is this, that the olive trees are picked by themselves, and the oil comes into the lamps by itself?
