Responsa for Exodus 23:1
לֹ֥א תִשָּׂ֖א שֵׁ֣מַע שָׁ֑וְא אַל־תָּ֤שֶׁת יָֽדְךָ֙ עִם־רָשָׁ֔ע לִהְיֹ֖ת עֵ֥ד חָמָֽס׃ (ס)
Thou shalt not utter a false report; put not thy hand with the wicked to be an unrighteous witness.
Shut min haShamayim
They responded: "Do not carry false rumours." (Exodus 23:1) They then repeated again, this time in Aramaic: Do not accept a false report.
