Responsa for Judges 11:25

וְעַתָּ֗ה הֲט֥וֹב טוֹב֙ אַתָּ֔ה מִבָּלָ֥ק בֶּן־צִפּ֖וֹר מֶ֣לֶךְ מוֹאָ֑ב הֲר֥וֹב רָב֙ עִם־יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל אִם־נִלְחֹ֥ם נִלְחַ֖ם בָּֽם׃

And now art thou any thing better than Balak the son of Zippor, king of Moab? did he ever strive against Israel, or did he ever fight against them?

Shut min haShamayim

They responded: "Are you any better than those who came before you?" (cf. Judges 11:25) "And your people, all of them righteous, shall possess the land for all time; they are the shoot that I planted, My handiwork in which I glory." (Isaiah 60:21)
