וְכֹ֣ל הֶהָרִ֗ים אֲשֶׁ֤ר בַּמַּעְדֵּר֙ יֵעָ֣דֵר֔וּן לֹֽא־תָב֣וֹא שָׁ֔מָּה יִרְאַ֖ת שָׁמִ֣יר וָשָׁ֑יִת וְהָיָה֙ לְמִשְׁלַ֣ח שׁ֔וֹר וּלְמִרְמַ֖ס שֶֽׂה׃ (פ)
And all the hills that were digged with the mattock, thou shalt not come thither for fear of briers and thorns, but it shall be for the sending forth of oxen, and for the treading of sheep.

HALAKHAH: Rebbi Yannai said: It is written192Is. 7:25.: “To all the hills which are to be worked by the harrow the fear of worm193A rock-splitting worm used by King Solomon to quarry the stones for the Temple without iron implements (Soṭah 9:13/14, Note 219.) and snail will not come.” Just as the stalk fears the iron, so the hair fears the iron194For him, מוֹרָה also is derived from the root ירא..
