וַיְמַלֵּ֥א אֹת֖וֹ ר֣וּחַ אֱלֹהִ֑ים בְּחָכְמָ֛ה בִּתְבוּנָ֥ה וּבְדַ֖עַת וּבְכָל־מְלָאכָֽה׃
And He hath filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship.

C’était le fils d’une veuve de la tribu de Nephtali, et son père était un Tyrien, ouvrier en cuivre; lui-même était plein de talent et d’industrie, habile à tous les travaux du cuivre. Il se rendit auprès du roi Salomon et exécuta tous ses ouvrages.
