Targum for Isaiah 8:19
And when they shall say unto you: ‘Seek unto the ghosts and the familiar spirits, that chirp and that mutter; should not a people seek unto their God? on behalf of the living unto the dead
Targum Jonathan on Isaiah
And when the nations amongst whom you shall be shall say to you, Seek of necromancers, and of the wizards, that peep, and that mutter. Is not this the way of nations, the worshippers of idols? A people seek from their idol, the living from the dead.
