וַיִּקְרְא֧וּ בֵֽית־יִשְׂרָאֵ֛ל אֶת־שְׁמ֖וֹ מָ֑ן וְה֗וּא כְּזֶ֤רַע גַּד֙ לָבָ֔ן וְטַעְמ֖וֹ כְּצַפִּיחִ֥ת בִּדְבָֽשׁ׃
Y la casa de Israel lo llamó Maná; y era como simiente de culantro, blanco, y su sabor como de hojuelas con miel.
Flames of Faith
The manna in the desert required little effort to attain. It was the bread of kindness, imbued with the light of chesed. This is why Moses states that manna’s starkest characteristic was its white color (see Exod. 16:31).
