וָאֵצְאָ֨ה בְשַֽׁעַר־הַגַּ֜יא לַ֗יְלָה וְאֶל־פְּנֵי֙ עֵ֣ין הַתַּנִּ֔ין וְאֶל־שַׁ֖עַר הָאַשְׁפֹּ֑ת וָאֱהִ֨י שֹׂבֵ֜ר בְּחוֹמֹ֤ת יְרוּשָׁלִַ֙ם֙ אֲשֶׁר־המפרוצים [הֵ֣ם ׀] [פְּרוּצִ֔ים] וּשְׁעָרֶ֖יהָ אֻכְּל֥וּ בָאֵֽשׁ׃
Y salí de noche por la puerta del Valle hacia la fuente del Dragón y á la puerta del Muladar; y consideré los muros de Jerusalem que estaban derribados, y sus que puertas estaban consumidas del fuego.

And I went out through the Gate of the Valley I went out through that gate at night with the men who were with me toward En Hattannin and the Dung Gate in the wall of the city; and I broke the wall, and the wall was easily cast down and broken because it had been burned with fire.

Ibn Ezra on Nehemiah
ואהי שובר And I surveyed - From "He will think (ויסבר) of changing" (Daniel 7:25). And from the language of the Sages of Blessed Memory: speculation (סברא). And the meaning is I was thinking about and studying the walls.
