Duties of the Heart
For what they have accomplished, they will praise and thank G-d for it, and G-d will praise them for their efforts and choice. And for what they were not able to accomplish of their ambitions, due to their weakness in reaching it, they excuse themselves before G-d, and will resolve to do it when they will be more capable. They hope to the time when the Creator will help them to do it, and they will beseech Him on this with a pure soul and a faithful heart. This is their greatest desire and final wish from G-d, as David said: "My hope is that my ways be established, to keep Your statutes" (Tehilim 119:5). And the Creator will praise their choice of His service, even if they are prevented from fulfilling the acts, as He said to David "Since it was in your heart to build a house unto My name, you did well that it was in your heart" (Melachim 8:18).
