The first of the holy names, in ascending order, is HaShem’s-יהו"ה title Adona”y-Lord-אדנ"י.5That is HaShem’s-יהו"ה quality of kingship-Malchut-מלכות. King Solomon, peace be upon him, said,6Ecclesiastes 4:17 “Guard your foot when you go to the house of God.” In this, he informs us that a person should examine himself and be cautious when he wants to pray before HaShem-יהו"ה, blessed is He, and to see and understand whether there are prosecutors and obstructions to his prayers being accepted. He must clear the path and remove any stumbling blocks that may be in the way.
