Sha'arei Orah
Now that you know this, contemplate what the prophets established in two places. The prophet Ovadia, the Edomite convert, said a prophecy about Edom,42Obadiah 1:21 “And saviors will ascend Mount Zion-Har Tziyon-הר ציון 43As mentioned in Gate Two (Yesod), Zion-Tziyon-ציון-156 (which has the numerical value of Yosef-יוסף-156) refers to the Sefirah of Yesod, and as it ascends and unifies with the quality of Understanding-Binah, it is called the Mountain of Zion-Tziyon-Har Tziyon-הר ציון, as mentioned in Gate Eight. to judge the Mount of Esav,44As mentioned in the Second Gate, the Mount of Esav-Har Eisav-הר עשו also called the Mount of Se’ir-Har Sei’ir-הר שעיר, refers to the mountains of darkness and the demons called the goat-demons-Se’ir-שעיר. See there at length. and the Kingdom45That is, the Sefirah of Kingship-Malchut, which is His title of Lordship-Adona”y-אדנ״י will then be unified with the Name HaShem-יהו״ה. will be HaShem’s-יהו״ה.”46That is, upon the reunification of the Sefirah of Foundation-Yesod with the Sefirah of Kingship-Malchut, that is, HaShem-יהו״ה with Lord-Adona”y-אדנ״י, that is, the Holy One, blessed is He, with His Shechinah, which is called the Ingathering of Israel-Knesset Yisroel-כנסת ישראל, it then will be called “The Mountain of HaShem-Har HaShem-הר יהו״ה,” as discussed in the Second Gate. The prophet Zachariah said,47Zachariah 14:2-14:9 “I will gather all the nations to Jerusalem for war… and HaShem-יהו״ה will go out and wage war against those nations, as He waged war on the day of battle… and [then] HaShem will be King over all the earth (Aretz-ארץ); On that day HaShem will be One-HaShem Echad-יהו״ה אחד and His Name One-u’Shmo Echad-ושמו אחד.”48And it will no longer be possible to cause a separation between His title of Lordship-Adona”y-אדנ״י and the Bearer of that title, the Singular Preexistent Intrinsic Essential and Unlimited Being, HaShem-יהו״ה Himself, blessed is He and blessed is His Name. See at great length in Ginat Egoz of Rabbi Yosef Gikatilla, translated as HaShem Is One, Vol. 1, The Gate of Intrinsic Being (Shaar HaHavayah), The Gate of His Title (Shaar HaKinuy), and The Gate of His Sanctuary (Shaar HaHeichal). It also states,49Numbers 24:20 “The first of the nations is Amalek,” and,50Exodus 17:16 “For a hand is [raised in oath] on the throne of Ya”h-י״ה: HaShem-יהו״ה maintains a war against Amalek, from generation to generation.”
Heikhalot Rabbati
Lo, a day of the Lord is coming (Zechariah 14:1): On that day that Gog and Magog come against the land of Israel, they will shake the earth and the heavens, and there will be a great earthquake in Israel, and they will come to capture Jerusalem, as it is stated, For I will gather all the nations to Jerusalem (Zechariah 14:2). At that time, He will make war against Gog and Magog, and seven shepherds, and eight princes among men [alluding to Micah 5:4] will go out with him. David is in the middle [with] Adam, Seth, Enosh, and Methuselah; to his right are Abraham, Issac, Jacob, Moses, and Aharon; and to his left are the eight princes among men, Saul, Samuel, Amos, Zephaniah, Elijah, Malkitsedek, Jesse and Hezekiah. At that time, the minds of the ministering angels cooled off before the Holy One, blessed be He. For at the time that the Holy One, blessed be He, trod upon Rome, He trod upon it only by Himself, as it is stated, I trod out a vintage alone (Isaiah 63:3). The ministering angels say before the Holy One, blessed be He, "Master of the world, from which side are You coming?" He said to them, "From above." They say to him, "Why is your clothing so red?" (Isaiah 63:2). He would say before Him, "Master of the world, is there a king that goes to war but his riders are not with him? Why did you not request us to go with You?" He said to them, "I had a small vat, so you were not needed by Me." Nevertheless, their minds were not cooled off. He said to them, "Wait for Me a little, I have another large vat, so I will need you, as it is stated, And you shall flee to the valley of the mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach, etc. (Zechariah 14:4).
