Y dijo Rebeca á Isaac: Fastidio tengo de mi vida, á causa de las hijas de Heth. Si Jacob toma mujer de las hijas de Heth, como éstas, de las hijas de esta tierra, ¿para qué quiero la vida?

“Rebecca said to Isaac: I loathe my life due to the daughters of Ḥet. If Jacob takes a wife from the daughters of Ḥet, like these, from the daughters of the land, why do I need life?” (Genesis 27:46).

See Genesis 26:34–35. – Rav Huna said: She began collecting mucus from her nose and casting it down. “If Jacob takes…from the daughters of Ḥet, like these” – she was striking this one, then that one, and that one, then this one.22Esau’s wives were standing there.
