לא תחסום verbietet eine Handlung, die durch eine körperliche Tätigkeit bewirkt wird. Auf ein Verbot, das aber nur durch ein Wort zu übertreten ist, tritt מלקות nicht ein. לאו שאין בו מעשה אין לוקין עליו.
