Comentario citado sobre Jeremías 32:31

Por manera que para enojo mío y para ira mía me ha sido esta ciudad, desde el día que la edificaron hasta hoy, para que la haga quitar de mi presencia;

A song of ascents about Solomon This song David recited about his son, Solomon, for he saw through the holy spirit that he [Solomon] was destined to build the Temple, and on that very day, Solomon would marry Pharaoh’s daughter, and concerning this was said (Jer. 32:31): “For this city has aroused My anger and My wrath since the day they built it.” Therefore, he recited this song. My son, why should you build a house and turn away from following the Omnipresent? Since He does not desire it, its workers have toiled at it in vain.

And Shlomo loved Adonoy, he conformed to the decrees of his father Dovid. [During the first] four years, before beginning to build the Beis [Hamikdosh]. But once he began to build and Shlomo married Pharaoh’s daughter, consequently it states, “for as a provocation of anger and of fury has this city has been to me from the day that they built it until this day.”5Yirmiyahu 32:31. Thus we learned in Seder Olam. We learn that the passages are not written in chronological order.

Adonoy determined to destroy. It had been many days since this entered His mind, as it is stated, “For it has aroused My anger and My fury— this city—[from the day that they built it until this day], to remove it from My Presence.”28Yirmiyahu 32:31.
