Y si alguno durmiere con ella, y su menstruo fuere sobre él, será inmundo por siete días; y toda cama sobre que durmiere, será inmunda.

German Commentary

so sind sie unrein und müssen ein Opfer bringen. Da dann die Frau während des Verkehrs schon sicher unrein war. Der Mann, der mit einer Nidda verkehrt, wird wie diese selbst 7 Tage unrein. (Lev. 15, 24.) Auf Verkehr mit der Nidda steht aber für beide Gatten die כרת-Strafe (Lev. 20, 18), also im Falle der Fahrlässigkeit ein Sündopfer. Allerdings haben sie nur dann wegen Fahrlässigkeit das Opfer zu bringen, wenn der Verkehr kurz vor Eintritt der Periode stattfand, sonst gilt die Blutung während des Verkehrs als ein nicht zu vermeidender Unglücksfall אונס. der keine Sühne erheischt רמב״ם הל שגגות פ״ה ה״ו וכ״מ שם, s. a. תום רע״ק

English Explanation of Mishnah Niddah

If [blood] is found on his rag they are both unclean and they are liable to bring a sacrifice. If any blood is found on the rag which the man uses to check himself then we can be sure that it came from the woman. They are both unclean for seven days as is the rule for a menstruant and the man who has relations with her (see Leviticus 15:24). In addition, they must both bring a sin-offering, which is the rule for any unintentional transgression which when done intentionally carries with it the penalty of "karet."

‎‏אשר יטמא‎ — these apparently redundant words are intended to include in this law one who touches a man who had intercourse with a ה‎‏נד and has not yet immersed himself (cf. Leviticus 15:24) (Sifra, Vayikra Dibbura d'Chovah, Chapter 13 8).
