Jerusalem Talmud Sanhedrin
208This paragraph has been shortened and become incomprehensible. Cf. Nedarim6:13, Notes 86–88. Both Talmudim always assume that a prophet by his office must have been a member of the High Court. Rebbi Meïr used to say: it is said, a man came from Baal Shalisha and brought to the Man of God first fruit bread, twenty loaves, etc. Since the year should have been intercalated, why did Elisha not intercalate? This teaches that it was a year of famine and people were eager for threshing floors.
