רַ֣ק חֲזַ֗ק לְבִלְתִּי֙ אֲכֹ֣ל הַדָּ֔ם כִּ֥י הַדָּ֖ם ה֣וּא הַנָּ֑פֶשׁ וְלֹא־תֹאכַ֥ל הַנֶּ֖פֶשׁ עִם־הַבָּשָֽׂר׃
Mais évite avec soin d’en manger le sang; car le sang c’est la vie, et tu ne dois pas absorber la vie avec la chair.

Similarly, the last level of the spiritual life force of the soul becomes vested within the [physical] blood, as stated,20Deuteronomy 12:23 “For, the blood is the soul.”
