Hassidout sur Les Nombres 10:9

And when you enter into battle in your land (Numbers 10:9) – it is lacking a [letter] lamed (which would make it, “to your land,” since that is the expected preposition here]: Since, truly, how is it possible that there would be war in our land? For behold, God, may He be blessed, has promised that even a peaceful sword shall not cross into our land (Ta’anit 22a). However, this would be [the case] if they, God forbid, stopped studying Torah. And that is the hint of the lacking lamed, since there will be war in your land if you are lacking the study [limud] of Torah. But if you have Torah study amongst you, there is no Satan and no evil occurrence.
