Ézéchiel 22:5 Commentaire : Tze'enah Ure'enah & Rashi

הַקְּרֹב֛וֹת וְהָרְחֹק֥וֹת מִמֵּ֖ךְ יִתְקַלְּסוּ־בָ֑ךְ טְמֵאַ֣ת הַשֵּׁ֔ם רַבַּ֖ת הַמְּהוּמָֽה׃

Proches ou éloignées, elles se railleront de toi, ô [ville] perdue de réputation, fertile en désordres!

Tze'enah Ure'enah

“Both the near and the far will scorn you, besmirched of name” [22:5]. You Israel will be embarrassed and humbled near and far. Your body will be humbled and your name will be humbled.

Rashi

will gossip about you And what is the gossip?...whose name is so befouled This is she who befouled her name, for they were called a holy people, sons of their Creator, and they caused themselves to be called (Isa. 6:5) “a people of unclean lips.”
