Ézéchiel 31:5 Commentaire : Rashi

עַל־כֵּן֙ גָּבְהָ֣א קֹמָת֔וֹ מִכֹּ֖ל עֲצֵ֣י הַשָּׂדֶ֑ה וַתִּרְבֶּ֨ינָה סַֽרְעַפֹּתָ֜יו וַתֶּאֱרַ֧כְנָה פארתו [פֹארֹתָ֛יו] מִמַּ֥יִם רַבִּ֖ים בְּשַׁלְּחֽוֹ׃

Aussi, sa taille surpassait celle de tous les arbres de la campagne, ses branches s’étaient multipliées et ses rameaux, grâce à l’abondance des eaux, s’étaient allongés, car il les projetait au loin.

because of abundant waters when it sent forth its branches through the abundant waters. When it sent forth its branches, i.e., when it grew its branches, and the expression “sending” applies to them, as “and sent forth branches.”
