“When you have finished” [43:23]. When you have finished purifying the House, bring an ox and a ram sacrifices to God. The priests should put salt on the sacrifice for God and salt must be put on each one, because the Holy One created heaven and earth. All the waters were above the heavens and did not want to descend to earth. They said that it is better that we are above in heaven, near the Holy One. The Holy One said to the waters that they will also be important. No sacrifice will be brought in the Temple without first putting salt on it.4Rashi, Leviticus, 2:13.
