עָפְיֵ֤הּ שַׁפִּיר֙ וְאִנְבֵּ֣הּ שַׂגִּ֔יא וּמָז֨וֹן לְכֹ֖לָּא־בֵ֑הּ תְּחֹת֜וֹהִי תַּטְלֵ֣ל ׀ חֵיוַ֣ת בָּרָ֗א וּבְעַנְפ֙וֹהִי֙ ידרון [יְדוּרָן֙] צִפֲּרֵ֣י שְׁמַיָּ֔א וּמִנֵּ֖הּ יִתְּזִ֥ין כָּל־בִּשְׂרָֽא׃

Son feuillage était beau et ses fruits abondants; il fournissait de la nourriture à tous. A son ombre s’abritaient les bêtes des champs, dans ses branches nichaient les oiseaux du ciel, et tous les êtres s’alimentaient de lui.
