וּכְעַ֞ן הֵ֧ן עַל־מַלְכָּ֣א טָ֗ב יִ֠תְבַּקַּר בְּבֵ֨ית גִּנְזַיָּ֜א דִּי־מַלְכָּ֣א תַמָּה֮ דִּ֣י בְּבָבֶל֒ הֵ֣ן אִיתַ֗י דִּֽי־מִן־כּ֤וֹרֶשׁ מַלְכָּא֙ שִׂ֣ים טְעֵ֔ם לְמִבְנֵ֛א בֵּית־אֱלָהָ֥א דֵ֖ךְ בִּירוּשְׁלֶ֑ם וּרְע֥וּת מַלְכָּ֛א עַל־דְּנָ֖ה יִשְׁלַ֥ח עֲלֶֽינָא׃ (ס)
Maintenant si tel est le bon plaisir du roi, qu’on recherche dans le dépôt des archives royales, là-bas, à Babylone, s’il est exact qu’un édit ait été rendu par le roi Cyrus, prescrivant de rebâtir ce temple de Dieu à Jérusalem; et que le roi nous communique sa volonté dans cette affaire!
