לְמַ֥עַן יַחְסְר֖וּ לֶ֣חֶם וָמָ֑יִם וְנָשַׁ֙מּוּ֙ אִ֣ישׁ וְאָחִ֔יו וְנָמַ֖קּוּ בַּעֲוֺנָֽם׃ (פ)
afin qu’ils manquent de pain et d’eau, qu’ils soient consternés les uns et les autres et qu’ils se consument dans leur iniquité."

Because they will lack Their worry and their bewilderment will be because they will lack bread and water in the days of the siege, and they will worry that the supply will be entirely depleted.
