וַיֹּ֣אמֶר אֵלַ֗י בֶּן־אָדָם֙ אֶת־מְק֣וֹם כִּסְאִ֗י וְאֶת־מְקוֹם֙ כַּפּ֣וֹת רַגְלַ֔י אֲשֶׁ֧ר אֶשְׁכָּן־שָׁ֛ם בְּת֥וֹךְ בְּנֵֽי־יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל לְעוֹלָ֑ם וְלֹ֣א יְטַמְּא֣וּ ע֣וֹד בֵּֽית־יִ֠שְׂרָאֵל שֵׁ֣ם קָדְשִׁ֞י הֵ֤מָּה וּמַלְכֵיהֶם֙ בִּזְנוּתָ֔ם וּבְפִגְרֵ֥י מַלְכֵיהֶ֖ם בָּמוֹתָֽם׃
Il me dit: "Fils de l’homme, [c’est ici] l’emplacement de mon trône, le lieu [où se pose] la plante de mes pieds, où je résiderai à jamais au milieu des enfants d’Israël. Désormais la maison d’Israël ne profanera plus mon saint nom ni eux, ni leurs rois par leurs prostitutions et les cadavres de leurs rois sur leurs hauts-lieux;
Rashi on Ezekiel
and with the corpses of their kings whose houses were near the Temple, as we find with Solomon and with Athaliah. Sometimes they would bury them in the gardens of their houses, as He explains and says, “... by placing their threshold with My threshold.”
