מַדּ֣וּעַ רָאִ֗יתִי הֵ֣מָּה חַתִּים֮ נְסֹגִ֣ים אָחוֹר֒ וְגִבּוֹרֵיהֶ֣ם יֻכַּ֔תּוּ וּמָנ֥וֹס נָ֖סוּ וְלֹ֣א הִפְנ֑וּ מָג֥וֹר מִסָּבִ֖יב נְאֻם־יְהוָֽה׃
Pourquoi les ai-je vus, frappés de terreur, battre en retraite? Leurs guerriers sont écrasés, ils fuient d’une fuite éperdue, sans se retourner: l’épouvante règne tout autour, dit l’Éternel.
