וַיֹּ֨אמֶר יְהוָ֜ה אֶל־הַשָּׂטָ֗ן הֲשַׂ֣מְתָּ לִבְּךָ֮ אֶל־עַבְדִּ֣י אִיּוֹב֒ כִּי֩ אֵ֨ין כָּמֹ֜הוּ בָּאָ֗רֶץ אִ֣ישׁ תָּ֧ם וְיָשָׁ֛ר יְרֵ֥א אֱלֹהִ֖ים וְסָ֣ר מֵרָ֑ע וְעֹדֶ֙נּוּ֙ מַחֲזִ֣יק בְּתֻמָּת֔וֹ וַתְּסִיתֵ֥נִי ב֖וֹ לְבַלְּע֥וֹ חִנָּֽם׃
L’Éternel demanda au Satan: " As-tu porté ton attention sur mon serviteur Job? Certes, il n’a point son pareil sur la terre, tellement il est un homme intègre et droit, craignant Dieu et évitant le mal. Il persiste encore dans sa piété, bien que tu m’aies incité à le ruiner sans motif."

Malbim on Job
God rebukes Satan for having maligned Job without cause. Job had stood the test; his worship of God had indeed been out of love and without any expectation of reward, and so the calamities inflicted upon his possessions and children had been totally unwarranted.
