Les Lamentations 2:22 Commentaire : Tze'enah Ure'enah & Rashi

Tze'enah Ure'enah

“You called” [2:22]. You, God, called the enemies to gather, just like we used to gather on the festivals. There was no escapee or survivor. The enemy has destroyed all the children who used to wear velvet and silk.

Rashi

You summon as if to a festive day. תִּקְרָא means] the same as קָרָאתָ; an expression in the present tense.

Rashi

My neighbors. My evil neighbors, to gather about me to destroy.53Alternatively, ‘my terrors.’ (Ibn Ezra)

Rashi

To whom I attended lovingly and reared, my enemy has annihilated. The children whom I pampered and reared, the enemy came and annihilated them.
