חָשַׁ֤ךְ מִשְּׁחוֹר֙ תָּֽאֳרָ֔ם לֹ֥א נִכְּר֖וּ בַּחוּצ֑וֹת צָפַ֤ד עוֹרָם֙ עַל־עַצְמָ֔ם יָבֵ֖שׁ הָיָ֥ה כָעֵֽץ׃ (ס)

Et leur figure est devenue plus noire que la suie: on ne les reconnaît pas dans les rues. Leur peau est collée à leurs os, desséchée comme du bois.

Tze'enah Ure'enah

“Dark” [4:8]. Now their figures are blackened and one does not recognize them in the streets, their skin is shrunken on their bones, dry as wood.

Than charcoal. This is charcoal.
