פָּרָ֣שׁ מַעֲלֶ֗ה וְלַ֤הַב חֶ֙רֶב֙ וּבְרַ֣ק חֲנִ֔ית וְרֹ֥ב חָלָ֖ל וְכֹ֣בֶד פָּ֑גֶר וְאֵ֥ין קֵ֙צֶה֙ לַגְּוִיָּ֔ה יכשלו [וְכָשְׁל֖וּ] בִּגְוִיָּתָֽם׃

Les cavaliers s’élancent, les épées flamboient, les lances étincellent: une multitude de tués! Un monceau de cadavres! Des morts à perte de vue! On bute contre leurs corps!
