וָאֹמַ֤ר לָהֶם֙ לְמִ֣י זָהָ֔ב הִתְפָּרָ֖קוּ וַיִּתְּנוּ־לִ֑י וָאַשְׁלִכֵ֣הוּ בָאֵ֔שׁ וַיֵּצֵ֖א הָעֵ֥גֶל הַזֶּֽה׃
Je leur ai répondu: ‘Qui a de l’or?’ et ils s’en sont dépouillés et me l’ont livré; je l’ai jeté au feu et ce veau en est sorti."
