Mishneh Torah, Foreign Worship and Customs of the Nations
Whosoever worships idolatry, of his own free will, wantonly, is guilty of an offense punishable by excision; but if the worship took place in the presence of witnesses, and he was duly warned, he is sentenced to be stoned. If the worship was committed in ignorance, he should bring a standard sin-offering.1Keritot, 1; Sanhedrin, 60b—61a.C.
