Les Proverbes 5:19 Cabale : Ohr Ne'erav & Sefer HaBahir

Ohr Ne'erav

With her love you will continually be infatuated (Prov. 5:19).

Ohr Ne'erav

However, now that he has explicated a prayer, as we have explained concerning the meaning of shigeonot, his answer is that it is the same case as in the verse, With her love you will continually be infatuated. If this refers to a portion of the Torah which necessarily [leads to] error, I would say that it must be the [Account of the] Chariot, so that one might say With her love you will continually err,11This reinterpretation of Prov. 5:19 understands the word tishgeh in the sense of “error” and not “infatuation.” meaning that because of love of the Torah you will err.

Sefer HaBahir

His students asked Rabbi Rachumai, "Why is it written, 'A prayer of Habakkuk the propphet, on Shigionot' (Habbakkuk 3:1)?"
[He answered,] "Prayer [תפלה] — it should have said 'praise' [תהלה]! But everyone who turns his heart from the toils of the world and gazes into the workings of the chariot is received before the Blessed Holy One as if he had prayed the entire day, as it is said, 'prayer'. What is shigyanot’ [שגיונות]? As it is written, 'Stray [תשגה] in your love of her always' (Proverbs 5:19). And what is this? The workings of the chariot, as is written, 'YHVH, I have heard of Your renown; I am awed' (Habakkuk 3:2)."
