Oui, j’opérerai ta cure, et te guérirai de tes plaies, dit l’Éternel, puisqu’ils te dénomment "la repoussée, cette Sion dont personne ne se soucie!"

Machzor Yom Kippur Ashkenaz

Restore health14See Yirmiyahu 30:17. to a shaken leaf,15This refers to the nation of Yisrael in their exile. They are so weak and frightened that they run away even from the sound of a falling leaf. [See Vayikra 26:36, “and the sound of a driven leaf shall chase them.”]—Mateh Levi console [us who are but] dust and ashes. Cast away our sins and be gracious with Your works; You see that there is no person16Of sufficient piety to plead for us. [therefore] deal charitably with us.
