Musar sur Les Nombres 17:6
וַיִּלֹּ֜נוּ כָּל־עֲדַ֤ת בְּנֵֽי־יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ מִֽמָּחֳרָ֔ת עַל־מֹשֶׁ֥ה וְעַֽל־אַהֲרֹ֖ן לֵאמֹ֑ר אַתֶּ֥ם הֲמִתֶּ֖ם אֶת־עַ֥ם יְהוָֽה׃
Toute la communauté des enfants d’Israël murmura, le lendemain, contre Moïse et Aaron, en disant: "C’est vous qui avez tué le peuple de l’Éternel!"

A further difficulty is that Israel said to Moses and Aaron the day after Korach and his rebels had died "you have caused the death of the people of G–d." How could they accuse Moses and Aaron of such a thing, seeing they had witnessed G–d perform a special miracle?
