וְאֶחָ֣יו בְּנֵי־חַ֗יִל אַלְפַּ֛יִם וּשְׁבַ֥ע מֵא֖וֹת רָאשֵׁ֣י הָאָב֑וֹת וַיַּפְקִידֵ֞ם דָּוִ֣יד הַמֶּ֗לֶךְ עַל־הָראוּבֵנִ֤י וְהַגָּדִי֙ וַחֲצִי֙ שֵׁ֣בֶט הַֽמְנַשִּׁ֔י לְכָל־דְּבַ֥ר הָאֱלֹהִ֖ים וּדְבַ֥ר הַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃ (פ)
Et ses frères étaient des hommes de courage, au nombre de deux mille sept cents chefs de famille. Le roi David les mit à la tête des tribus de Ruben, de Gad et de la demi-tribu de Manassé, [pour veiller] à tous les intérêts de Dieu et aux intérêts du roi.
