Au renouvellement de l’année, le roi Nabuchodonosor donna ordre de l’amener à Babylone en même temps que les vases précieux du temple de l’Éternel, et il établit son frère Sédécias comme roi de Juda et de Jérusalem.
Ibn Ezra
[Daniel 1:2] Va-yiten (וַיִּתֵּן - And [the Lord] delivered): It is written: “and some of the vessels of the House of God.” [It says "some"] because it was during the exile of Jehoiachin that the precious vessels (k'lei chemdat - כְּלֵי חֶמְדַּת, cf. II Chronicles 36:10) of the House of the Lord were brought to Babylon. For thus it is written [regarding Jehoiachin's exile]: “and the treasures of the House of the Lord, and the treasures of the king's house” [II Kings 24:13].
