Moïse répondit: "Ce n’est point le bruit d’un chant de victoire, ce n’est point le cri annonçant une défaite; c’est une clameur affligeante que j’entends!"

Ibn Ezra

And the word "laanot"-- is like the phrase "qol anot" (Ex. 32:18). Said Yeshua b. Yehuda: "This is Heman the son of Samuel and the Bible calls him Ezrahi because he was a native of the bards, for most bards were his children and grandchildren as it is written in Chronicles." And some say that the aleph is prosthetic and he was the son of Zerah and his brother was Ethan. And others say that Heman and Ethan were brothers whose father was called Ezrah.

עשה לך שתי חצוצרות כסף, “make two silver trumpets for yourself!” The trumpets were to be made of silver instead of gold, in order not to remind Hashem of the golden calf each time they would be used. The sound, otherwise, would be associated with the loud noise the Israelites made when they danced around that idol. (Compare Exodus 32,18)
