וְלֹֽא־אָבָ֤ה יְהוָה֙ לְהַשְׁחִ֣ית אֶת־יְהוּדָ֔ה לְמַ֖עַן דָּוִ֣ד עַבְדּ֑וֹ כַּאֲשֶׁ֣ר אָֽמַר־ל֗וֹ לָתֵ֨ת ל֥וֹ נִ֛יר לְבָנָ֖יו כָּל־הַיָּמִֽים׃
Cependant le Seigneur, en faveur de David, son serviteur, ne voulut pas détruire Juda, fidèle à la promesse qu’il lui avait faite de lui assurer à jamais un domaine à lui et à ses descendants.
II Chronicles
And the L rd did not want to destroy the house of David, for the sake of the covenant that He had made with David, and, as He had said, to give him and his children kingdom all of the days.
