L’Éternel ne consentira jamais à lui pardonner! Oui, alors, la colère de l’Éternel et son indignation s’enflammeront contre cet homme, et toutes les malédictions consignées dans ce livre s’abattront sur lui, et le Seigneur effacera son nom de dessous le ciel.

Concerning him who takes a wife for his infant son, who marries his daughter to an old man21Since she does not willingly accept him, she may be led to adultery. and who does a favour to one without notifying him22GRA reads ‘to a heathen’ to agree with Sanh. 76b (Sonc. ed., p. 517), the favour referring to the return of a lost article. Scripture declares, The Lord will not be willing to pardon him.23Deut. 29, 19.
