"The prisoner who has been set free" — whence have we this? For it is written, "Such as sat in darkness and in the shadow of death... because they rebelled against the words of God... Therefore He humbled their heart with travail... They cried unto the Lord in their trouble... He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death...
