וְדָוִ֨ד בָּרַ֜ח וַיִּמָּלֵ֗ט וַיָּבֹ֤א אֶל־שְׁמוּאֵל֙ הָרָמָ֔תָה וַיַּ֨גֶּד־ל֔וֹ אֵ֛ת כָּל־אֲשֶׁ֥ר עָֽשָׂה־ל֖וֹ שָׁא֑וּל וַיֵּ֤לֶךְ הוּא֙ וּשְׁמוּאֵ֔ל וַיֵּשְׁב֖וּ בנוית [בְּנָֽיוֹת׃]
David, ayant donc pris la fuite pour être en sûreté, se rendit chez Samuel, à Rama, et l’informa de tout ce que lui avait fait Saül; Il s’en alla avec Samuel, et ils s’établirent à Naïot.

Rava taught: What is meant by the verse “…and he asked, and said, "Where are Samuel and David?" And (one) said, ‘Behold, at Naioth in Ramah.’” (Shmuel I 19:22) What connection is there between Naioth and Ramah? It means, rather, that they sat at Ramah and were engaged with the beauty (noiyo) of the world.
