וְיֹתֵ֥ר מֵהֵ֖מָּה בְּנִ֣י הִזָּהֵ֑ר עֲשׂ֨וֹת סְפָרִ֤ים הַרְבֵּה֙ אֵ֣ין קֵ֔ץ וְלַ֥הַג הַרְבֵּ֖ה יְגִעַ֥ת בָּשָֽׂר׃

Mais, mon fils, sois bien en garde contre ce qui viendrait s’y ajouter: on fait des livres en quantité, à ne pas finir; or, beaucoup méditer, c’est se fatiguer le corps.

[i.e., the son whom I nurtured in my womb (with additional intercourse, so that he be "whitened and quickened")] And what [did you do], the son of my vows [(whom I vowed would be "whitened" in Torah)]?
