וְנָתַתִּ֤י אֶת־עָֽרֵיכֶם֙ חָרְבָּ֔ה וַהֲשִׁמּוֹתִ֖י אֶת־מִקְדְּשֵׁיכֶ֑ם וְלֹ֣א אָרִ֔יחַ בְּרֵ֖יחַ נִיחֹֽחֲכֶֽם׃
Je ferai de vos villes des ruines, de vos lieux saints une solitude, et je ne respirerai point vos pieux parfums.

then I will uproot them from My land that I have given them, and I will cast away from My face the house which I consecrated to My name [viz. Leviticus 26:31], and I will make it a proverb and a byword [(for derision)] among all the peoples.
