א֡וֹ בִּכְלִ֣י עֵֽץ־יָד֩ אֲשֶׁר־יָמ֨וּת בּ֥וֹ הִכָּ֛הוּ וַיָּמֹ֖ת רֹצֵ֣חַֽ ה֑וּא מ֥וֹת יוּמַ֖ת הָרֹצֵֽחַ׃
Pareillement, si, armé d’un objet en bois pouvant donner la mort, il a porté un coup mortel, c’est un assassin; l’assassin doit être mis à mort.

If a man strikes his male or female slave with a rod, and [the slave] dies under his hand, [the death] must be avenged.
