כִּ֤י תִבְנֶה֙ בַּ֣יִת חָדָ֔שׁ וְעָשִׂ֥יתָ מַעֲקֶ֖ה לְגַגֶּ֑ךָ וְלֹֽא־תָשִׂ֤ים דָּמִים֙ בְּבֵיתֶ֔ךָ כִּֽי־יִפֹּ֥ל הַנֹּפֵ֖ל מִמֶּֽנּוּ׃ (ס)
Quand tu bâtiras une maison neuve, tu établiras un appui autour du toit, pour éviter que ta maison soit cause d’une mort, si quelqu’un venait à en tomber.
Targum Jonathan on Deuteronomy
When thou buildest a new house, thou shalt make a surrounding fence to thy roof, that it may not be the occasion of blood guilt by the loss of life at thy house, by any one through heedlessness falling therefrom.

Then thou shalt make a parapet to thy roof, that the guilt of innocent blood shedding may not be set upon thy house.
