Targoum sur La Genèse 16:11
וַיֹּ֤אמֶר לָהּ֙ מַלְאַ֣ךְ יְהוָ֔ה הִנָּ֥ךְ הָרָ֖ה וְיֹלַ֣דְתְּ בֵּ֑ן וְקָרָ֤את שְׁמוֹ֙ יִשְׁמָעֵ֔אל כִּֽי־שָׁמַ֥ע יְהוָ֖ה אֶל־עָנְיֵֽךְ׃
L’envoyé du Seigneur lui dit encore: "Te voici enceinte, et près d’enfanter un fils; tu énonceras son nom Ismaël, parce que Dieu a entendu ton affliction.
Targum Jonathan on Genesis
And the Angel of the Lord said to her, Behold, thou art with child, and thou wilt bear a son, and thou shalt call his name Ishmael, because thy affliction is revealed before the Lord.
