Targoum sur La Genèse 25:30

וַיֹּ֨אמֶר עֵשָׂ֜ו אֶֽל־יַעֲקֹ֗ב הַלְעִיטֵ֤נִי נָא֙ מִן־הָאָדֹ֤ם הָאָדֹם֙ הַזֶּ֔ה כִּ֥י עָיֵ֖ף אָנֹ֑כִי עַל־כֵּ֥ן קָרָֽא־שְׁמ֖וֹ אֱדֽוֹם׃

Ésaü dit à Jacob: "Laisse-moi avaler, je te prie, de ce rouge, de ce mets rouge, car je suis fatigué." C’est à ce propos qu’on le nomma Édom.

And Esau said to Jakob, Let me now taste that red pottage, for I am faint, -- therefore he called his name Edom.
